There are two local nurseries nearby Telkwa - PRT Summit Nursery Ltd. and Woodmere Nursery Ltd. Combined, they form one of the largest growers of reforestation seedlings in the province. The tree nurseries offer free tours by appointment. These tours are highly educational and participants are given a complimentary seedling to take home.
