Other
Cross Country Trails
Cross country ski enthusiasts flourish in the Bulkley Valley
and leave their mark at the Smithers Golf and Country Club and many
nearby lakes such as Tyhee, Kathlyn and Seymour. There is no charge
to ski in these areas and tracks are usually well set. Tyhee Lake Provincial
Park has two covered shelters fully stocked with tables, and wood for
the wood stoves. After an exhilarating ski, gather round the fire to
roast a hot dog and sip some hot chocolate. Each year, during Telkwa
Cabin Fever Days, a candle-light cross country ski is offered at Tyhee
Lake Provincial Park free of charge.
