Affordable Housing Survey

The Village of Telkwa is currently taking the proactive step of completing an Affordable Housing Needs Assessment and Action Plan for the community. This project will allow community residents to identify gaps, and move forward to effectively meet the needs of the community. The needs assessment is a product of the community, due to the fact that the majority of information and knowledge provided is gathered through several public engagement processes that will be taking place (community-wide survey, stakeholder meetings, multi-stakeholder roundtable).

To engage residents of Telkwa in this important process, a resident survey pertaining to housing has been created as a medium to gather community input and feedback. This survey will be available in hard copy at the Village office and online using the link at the bottem of this page. Your participation is an important step in compiling a data-set unique to Telkwa, which will help identify the current baseline within Telkwa’s housing system.

The survey will take approximately 10 minutes of your time and your responses will remain anonymous and confidential. The results of this survey are intended to establish priorities in future decision making, which will help Telkwa staff and Council determine long-term housing implementation strategies for the community.  All survey participants will have the opportunity to enter into a draw for a three day pass at Hudson’s Bay Mountain and a $100 gift certificate to BV Home Center.
