Good Food Box Program

The Good Food Box (GFB) is a box of fresh fruits & vegetables available for pick-up once per month. Each box costs $15.00 and everyone is welcome to participate!


The GFB is a community food security program and is supported by Smithers Community Services Association. Most produce is purchased from Bulkley Valley Wholesale, as well as local producers, when in season. This program helps to support our local economy and local food producers, and this is one small step in helping to build a more sustainable food system.


Each month, the selection of fruits and vegetables may change. Basic items such as: potatoes, carrots, onions, broccoli, apples, and bananas are usually included in the box. Other items are chosen according to what is good quality, in season, and affordable at the time. We hope to support local growers as much as possible. Recipes are also included in each box.

New pick-up location: Pick up your Good Food Box in Telkwa at the Telkwa Christian Reformed Church (across from the One Stop) from 3:00 – 6:00pm.

Important dates: See the dates below for prepayment and pick-up dates. Order your Good Food Box at Smithers Community Services Association (3815 Railway Ave) or when you pick up your box in Telkwa.
