The Village of Telkwa will be holding a referendum

On June 15th the Village of Telkwa initiated the Alternate Approval Process in regards to a borrowing bylaw to determine if a referendum was required.

The Village of Telkwa has received more than the minimum 10% of signatures required in the Alternative Approval process. Therefore, The Village of Telkwa will now proceed with a referendum in November. 

This process will seek public approval for the proposed bylaw to borrow up to One Million Dollars to finance the purchase and renovation of the building located at 1415 Hankin Ave for it’s use as the new Municipal Office. 

The Village of Telkwa would like to thank all residents for their input during the Alternative Approval Process. The Village of Telkwa invites all residents to participate in the public information sessions that will be held leading up to the referendum.
