Regular meetings of council are held on the second and fourth monday of the month. All meetings commence at 7:00 p.m., in the council chamber, and are open to the public. In the event that a monday is a statutory holiday, the regular meeting of council is held on the tuesday of that week.

During the regular council meetings, council will formally receive reports, vote on by-laws and approve financial and other matters. The schedule of council meetings is posted annually – 2009 General Council Meeting Schedule & 2010 General Council Meeting Schedule
If you would like to bring a specific matter to council’s attention, you may write a letter to council to have it placed on the regular agenda, or you may appear at the council meeting as a delegation. Please submit any information for the agenda to the village office by 12 noon the wednesday prior to the scheduled monday meeting. The Village of Telkwa may hear two delegations from the public at each regular meeting of council. Apply to appear as a delegation before council just fill out the Delegation Form and .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or fax to the village office. Make sure the form is received no later than 12 noon on the wednesday before the meeting.

Agendas – Regular Meetings of Council Agendas are posted online at least 24 hours prior to a Regular Meeting of Council or can be picked up from the Village Ofice.

Minutes – Minutes of Regular Council Meetings are posted online following Council approval.

Committees – Council Committee Minutes are posted online following Committee approval. If you cannot find the Minutes of a particular Committee, contact the Municipal Hall for more information.
